Chris Baron : Intern

Oh why hello there! I guess the first thing you should know about me is that I hail from the prestigious Philippines Island. Which makes me the most international intern at impact. I was raised by my wonderful missionary parents, and grew up in a christian environment. This automatically made me a super good christian boy. Nope! It was not until I saw how I blindly declared myself a christian based on my environment, instead of my personal relationship with Jesus that I experienced the freedom in God's love.

Now I just graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with a degree in Religious Studies in just five years! I have been attending impact since I was a freshman, and every year the staff have challenged me to grow deeper in my faith. But now I get to hang out with the staff every day as an intern! I am just as excited to be working with college students, specifically freshman, and to help students experience the freeing Truth of God's grace. Also I dabble in sports, like loud music, and gardening all at the same time.

Hey, make it good!

Jess Haydt : Intern

Hey guys! I grew up in Charlotte and I love it here! A few of my favorite things are the beach, good music, and classic movies. I grew up in the church and my faith in God has always been an important part of my life. It wasn’t until my freshman year of college that God’s grace, freedom, and love became real to me. Pursuing God was no longer something that was expected of me, but rather a desire of my heart. God used the people at Impact to encourage, challenge, and guide me to this place.

This past December, I graduated from UNCC with a degree in Psychology. My plan was to go to straight to grad school, but God had other plans for me. He has called me to serve the students on campus at UNCC. I am excited to be working with college students! It really is the best thing to see the students grow in their faith and experience God in ways they could never imagine!
