Tyler was raised in Hendersonville, NC. His father pastored numerous churches in Western NC and was in ministry for over 40 years. Tyler was a student leader with Impact during his college years and graduated from UNCC in 2011 with a Religious Studies degree. Before joining staff at Impact in 2016, Tyler traveled the country as a musician and worked with professional soccer teams in Charlotte as an equipment manager. He joined staff with Impact Charlotte in 2016. He and his wife, Lauren, got married in 2017. Lauren is an administrative assistant for a mission agency. Their son, Lucas, is 18 months old and is non-stop energy all day long.
Chris Baron was born in Manila Philippines to his parents who were missionaries there through Cru. After graduating high school in the Philippines, he started college at UNCC in 2005. This is where he would get involved with the campus ministry Impact Charlotte. After graduating from UNCC with a Bachelors of Religious Studies, he interned and went on staff with Impact for the next 5 years. In 2016, he left Charlotte to work with BCM at App State out of interest in a multiplying student house church style of ministry. He later would return to Impact at UNCC to co-lead with Tyler. Now Chris and Tyler have focused Impact Charlotte to empower and equip students to lead and multiply their own discipleship groups. Chris is married to his wife Megan who he met through Impact. She is a licensed professional counselor working for a practice in south Charlotte. Together, they have the chubbiest little 8 month old boy.
